Home Security event raises public awareness

CORGI Fenestration recently attended a Home Security event held by CORGI registered company Help Locks. The event was held at the White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds, which proved an ideal location for meeting the public.

The event was supported by security product manufacturers Brisant Secure and ERA Home Security as well as representatives from West Yorkshire Police. Members of the public were able to learn about the importance of using a professional locksmith as well as seeing the latest home security devices. Victim Support were on hand to assist anyone who had experienced a break in and to offer advice on home security.

As well as learning about physical home security, West Yorkshire police were demonstrating cyber security risks and giving help on how to stay internet safe. A very useful guide for parents was distributed on the day which gave practical advice on how to keep children safe.

Jacqueline Crawford, COO CORGI Fenestration said, “It was very interesting to meet members of the public from the region, which is known to have a high problem with lock snapping, and to talk about their experiences and how we might help to improve home security going forward.”

Our thanks go to Help Locks for organising the event and to White Rose Shopping Centre for agreeing to host.
